What's included

Bookkeeping isn't just data entry. Done well, it gives you a reliable picture of your business at any point in the year, not only at tax time. Every package is tailored, and typically covers:

• Bank and credit card reconciliations, so every transaction in your accounting software matches what actually went through your accounts.
• Accounts payable. We enter your supplier invoices, prepare payables reports so you can see what's due and when, and can process payments for you.
• Accounts receivable. We keep track of what you're owed, monitor overdue invoices and follow up with debtors, which helps keep your cash flow steady.
• Job and store cost allocation. If you run several jobs, projects or stores, we allocate costs to each one so you can see which are actually making money.
• Regular financial reports, such as your profit and loss and balance sheet, presented clearly enough to be useful.

Because your records are kept current, your quarterly BAS and your income tax return start from clean numbers rather than a scramble to catch up.

How it works

1. A free consultation. We start with a no-obligation conversation about how your business runs, the software you use and where things are getting stuck.
2. A tailored package. We agree what we'll look after and how often, whether that's weekly, monthly or quarterly, based on your transaction volume and how often you need reports.
3. Getting set up. We get access to your accounting software, check your chart of accounts and bank feeds, and catch up any backlog so we're working from a reliable starting point.
4. Ongoing bookkeeping. We reconcile, process and report on the schedule we've agreed, and flag anything that needs your attention along the way.

You stay in control the whole time. You can see your figures in your own software whenever you like, and you can ask Brian whenever a question comes up.
